George Starnes has been part of the financial services industry since 1982. He  explains his approach to improved client service as one of mastery:

 

"There are numerous ways for me to strengthen my practice in order to better prepare my clients. One of the most practical methods is further education. By having my master's degree in financial services, as well as over 20 years of experience in this field, knowledge is the greatest strength I can bring to my clients."

 

George is a 1981 graduate of Lander University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business.

George has earned the following designations:

 Master's in Financial Services (MSFS)

George Starnes received his MSFS from The American College in 2002.

 

The MSFS program emphasizes analysis, planning, and implementation of strategies for individuals, families, and businesses to protect, conserve, and distribute financial assets and/or economic human life values.

The program further emphasizes the role of the financial services professional in synthesizing financial resources, needs, objectives, and appropriate alternative plans for achieving the economic ends desired.

 

Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®)
George Starnes received his AEP® in October 2001 from The National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC)

 

The NAEPC’s particular focus is on Accounting, Insurance, Law, Trust Services and Financial Planning. Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®) is available to individuals in all five disciplines. This designation is for individuals who have met the requisite requirements, including estate planning experience and recommendations by colleagues, and currently requires completion of certain graduate estate planning courses. All individuals obtaining the AEP® designation demonstrate commitment to the team approach in estate planning.

 

Chartered Financial Consultant  (ChFC®)
George Starnes received his ChFC® in October 1988 from The American College

 

The Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation focuses on the comprehensive financial planning process as an organized way to collect and analyze information on a client's total financial situation; to identify and establish specific financial goals; and to formulate, implement, and monitor a comprehensive plan to achieve those goals. The ChFC® program provides financial services professionals with in-depth knowledge of the skills needed to perform comprehensive financial planning for their clients.

 

Chartered Life Underwriter  (CLU®)
George Starnes received his CLU® in October 1987 from The American College

 

The Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation has long been recognized as the fundamental and foremost educational credential for life insurance professionals. Since 1927, more than 94,000 individuals have earned their CLU®, helping them build a successful life insurance practice by providing clients with knowledgeable and ethical advice. For financial representatives, field management, home office personnel, and others involved in providing life insurance products to the public, the CLU® designation symbolizes continuing growth and commitment to professionalism.

George Starnes is a Member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). The mission of the NAIFA is to advocate for a positive legislative and regulatory environment, enhance business and professional skills, and promote the ethical conduct of our members.

NAIFA is a national nonprofit organization representing the interests of more than 70,000 insurance and financial advisors nationwide, through its federation of over 900 state and local associations. Founded in 1890, NAIFA is the nation's largest financial services membership association.

George is also a  Member of the Estate Planning Council.
